What, if the jail provides you an opportunity to meet new civilized people, spend some quality time with them along with the fancy eatables and at the end of the day, when you get a bail, your name is applauded and it is considered as a noble cause?
Now, what you have to say? The Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon provided the same fancy jail to the residents of Port Huron who were allowed to get bail in lieu of some dollars which proved to be a great help for more than 500 Montana families battling with the Muscular Dystrophy.
The organization Muscular Dystrophy Association was formed in 1950 with a vision to combat muscular dystrophy and other diseases of muscular system and nervous system by raising funds through the telethon hosted by actor and comedian Jerry Lewis.
The association held a fund raising event recently in which the participants enjoyed the time by making new friends and relishing the tastes of delicious salads offered in the lunch. The event sprinkled its charm through balloons and party flavors!
The association helps the disease-prone children to enjoy the next camp summer. Also, it provides wheel chair assistance, leg brace assistance, has clinics in Great Falls, Missoula, and Billings that do not charge anything from the families associated with it. Sources revealed that Bernie Steffan, director of MDA, Business Development aims at the mission of providing help in the form of their services.
The telethon attracts masses as the organizers cleverly plot the appearances of famous celebrities in it. Though the event is carried out for a noble cause, still it suffers a heavy blow of controversies as it makes many people skeptical about the nature of expenditures of the fund-raised money.
